Every set has its own language. Here are the words you will hear on a London microbudget shoot, and what they actually mean.
- Call sheet — the daily plan: who is needed, where and when.
- Martini shot — the last shot of the day.
- Turnaround — the rest period between wrap and the next call time.
- Sides — the pages of script being shot that day.
- Gate check — confirming the lens and sensor are clean before moving on.
