Production

- Runs the day-to-day logistics: schedules, crew, paperwork.
- 1st Assistant Director
- Runs the set and the shooting day, keeps everyone to time.
- Runner
- Supports every department. The best way into the industry.
Camera & Lighting
- Director of Photography
- Designs the look of the film: framing, lens and light.
- Camera Operator
- Operates the camera and executes the shot.
- 1st AC (Focus Puller)
- Keeps the image sharp and looks after the camera kit.
- 2nd AC (Clapper Loader)
- Slates takes, handles media and supports the camera team.
- Gaffer
- Head of the lighting department, realises the DoP's lighting plan.
- Best Boy / Spark
- Rigs and powers the lights safely.
Sound
- Production Sound Mixer
- Records and balances all sound on set.
- Boom Operator
- Places the microphone to catch clean dialogue.
Art, Costume & Make-up
- Production Designer
- Designs the physical world of the film.
- Art Director
- Delivers the designer's world on the ground.
- Costume Designer
- Designs and sources what the characters wear.
- HMU Artist
- Hair and make-up, including continuity across the shoot.
Script & Post
- Screenwriter
- Writes the script and the drafts that follow.
- Script Supervisor
- Tracks continuity and what has actually been shot.
- Editor
- Assembles the film and finds its rhythm.
- Colourist
- Grades the image for consistency and mood.
- Sound Designer
- Builds the sound world: effects, atmospheres, foley.
